Dr. Dan Spencer is from our leadership team and part of the AAP-CA3 Climate Change and Health Committee. As the lead physician of Kaiser San Diego’s Pediatric Urgent Care Clinics, he sees the first hand effects the disproportionate effects of air pollution and climate change on children. He applied successfully to have the cities of San Diego, Encinitas, Chula Vista, Lemon Grove, and the County of San Diego that have issued proclamations reocognizing October 14 as Children’s Environmental Health Day in partnership with AAP San Diego and SDPCA. He will be accepting the city proclamations with our AAP-CA members on October 12 in Encinitas and October 13 in Chula Vista.
